Premium Rate numbers are used for a wide array of services. These numbers can commonly be seen throughout the media landscape promoting technical support lines, information services, competition lines or specialised services such as sports tipster lines, psychic reading or chatline services. 

These numbers and the services that they route to are regulated by the Phone-paid Services Authority (PSA) and subject to their Code of Practice.
