WHAT IS iBID? iBid is a Reverse Auction Service. Broadcasters, online and print media publishers use premium rate numbers to generate revenues from many different services including quizzes & competitions. Lowest Bid Auctions are simple to run and simple to set up using the Square1 Auction Manager web interface. This will allow you to configure and set message responses for each auction, you will also find full statistical reports online within the same client portal. THE LOWEST UNIQUE BID WINS THE ITEM BEING AUCTIONED This service can be run at any tariff, but most clients opt for either £1 or £1.50 per bid. We have found that users are not particularly sensitive to the cost. Users text in the keyword, followed by their bid in pence. For example, if they bid £3.75, they will text the keyword followed by 375 (e.g. CAR375). The user then receives various response messages back, depending on their bid. DATA GENERATION Competitions provide a valuable revenue stream, but database generation is also a positive spin-off from these types of services.
